McCullum’s leaping boundary save stuns fans
New Zealand batsman Brendon McCullum has passed the age of 30, and given up wicketkeeping in some formats in order to save his back, but he was the picture of youthful athleticism in Bangalore.
Having scored 49 off 29 balls as his side recorded 242 against the Dolphins, he then added to his match contribution by making a stunning leap to stop Robbie Frylinck from recording a much-needed six.
McCullum watched as the ball sailed high in the air towards him, and timed his jump perfectly, catching the ball, already over the rope, and chucking it back into play before landing over the ropes himself.
Watch his effort here, with replays and many an angle to marvel at.
