Moores’ agent furious over sacking leak

If media reports out of the UK this weekend are to be believed, England head coach Peter Moores will find himself without a job on Monday, and his agent is furious that the coach heard the news via the media.
On Friday during the ODI against Ireland, which was rained off, a series of news reports emerged online from credible papers that said that Moores will be fired on Monday, when the ECB announce Andrew Strauss as their new managing director.
As such, Moores was apparently not yet aware of his reported fate, still with the team in Dublin, and his agent Luke Sutton raged on Twitter about how poorly Moores had been treated.
Sutton wrote, and then later deleted: "If the rumours are true, this is an appalling way to treat a thoroughly decent man. Peter Moores is trying to help a young Eng team today.
"This is going on behind his back. People should be ashamed. Treat people as you wish to be treated. Some people cld do with remembering that.
"Yeah, coaches are judged by results; but we are also judged by how we treat each other. Peter Moores is a good man who doesn't deserve this."
This is set to be the second time Moores is fired from this job, after he only got it back a year ago. His previous stint saw him in huge conflict with Kevin Pietersen, the captain at the time.
Speculation now moves to who will take over, with Yorkshire head honcho Jason Gillespie by far the favourite candidate. Whether he drops the Tykes, and a new role with the Adelaide Strikers, to take it remains to be seen.
