Mushfiqur doubtful for one-off India Test

Bangladesh Test captain Mushfiqur Rahim is a doubtful starter for his side's one-off Test match against India next month because of a finger injury.

Mushifiqur, who is also the team's wicketkeeper, picked up the injury in the first Test against Pakistan earlier this month and went on, against medical advice, to play in the second Test.

Bangladesh Cricket Board physician Debashis Chowdhury told the Daily Star newspaper: "Since he was complaining of pain we did the necessary medical examinations again on his right hand.

"The report confirmed that the internal damage is yet to completely heal and that's why the swelling and the pain is still there. We have advised him to take full rest for one week before further assessment."

The Tigers also have a concern over the fitness fast bowler Rubel Hossain, who missed the second Test against Pakistan.

When asked about the Rubel, Chowdhury said: "He is not fully fit. Rubel could not reach our expected level of fitness today, so we can not declare him 100 percent fit."
