Uncapped fast bowler Ishwar Pandey has been named in India's squad for February's Test series in New Zealand.

Left-spinner Pragyan Ojha has been dropped, while wicketkeeper-batsman Wriddhiman Saha, leg-spinner Amit Mishra and the right-handed Ambati Rayudu has been retained.

Pandey's call-up has been earned on the back of an outstanding stretch of form for Madhya Pradesh at domestic level, including match figures of 11 for 120 against Railways in Indore and a first-innings five-for against Saurashtra at the same venue recently.

The 24-year-old has also been included in the ODI squad, alongside uncapped all-rounder Stuart Binny. Fast bowler Varun Aaron, who has not played international cricket since December 2011, has been recalled – and seamers Mohit Sharma and Umesh Yadav and batsman Yuvraj Singh has been omitted.

The 29-year-old Binny has scored 669 runs at an average of 22.30, including three half-centuries, and taken 79 wickets in 48 List A fixtures since debuting in September 2003. He was key to the Rajasthan Royals' 2013 Indian Premier League campaign.

The first ODI of five will get underway at McLean Park in Napier on 19 January. The first Test of two will start at Eden Park in Auckland on 6 February.
