Sri Lanka batting great Kumar Sangakkara will end his international career at the P. Sara Oval in Pallekele after India confirmed they will play three Tests against their Asian neighbours in August.

Sri Lanka batting great Kumar Sangakkara will end his international career at the P. Sara Oval in Pallekele after India confirmed they will play three Tests against the Sri Lankans in August.

Sangakkara has already confirmed that he will only play two Test matches against the visiting India side before he calls time on a glittering international career.

The prolific 37 year-old, who retired from ODI cricket after the World Cup in March, has scored 12305 runs in 132 Test matches at an average of 58.04, including 38 centuries.

The first Test agiant India is scheduled for the Galle while the third match will be played in Colombo.

Sri Lanka have just lost a three-match Test series, in which Sangakkara also played two matches, two-one against Pakistan.

India tour itinerary:

August 12-16: First Test – Galle

August 20-24: Second Test – P Sara Oval, Colombo

August 28-Sept. 1: Third Test – SSC, Colombo
