The uncapped Ishwar Pandey, Pankaj Singh and Stuart Binny have been named in India's Test squad for July and August's Test series against England.

Opening batsman Gautam Gambhir has been recalled and veteran left-arm seamer Zaheer Khan excluded.

Fast bowlers Pandey and Pankaj have earned maiden call-ups on the back of fine stretches of form at first-class level, while Binny has secured the all-rounder's berth despite not taking a wicket or scoring a run during the ODI series in New Zealand and the Asia Cup in Bangladesh earlier this year.

The talented Wriddhiman Saha, who has not played Test match cricket since January 2012, has been named as the second-choice wicketkeeper in the 18-man touring party, which is otherwise laden with right-arm seamers.

The English and Indians will meet for five Tests – at Trent Bridge, Lord's, The Rose Bowl, Old Trafford and The Oval – between 9 July and 19 August. Five ODIs and a one-off Twenty20 International will follow.
