Panesar was asked to leave the Shooshh Club after a group of women complained he was hassling them, according to a report in <i>The Sun</i>.
He later, allegedly, relieved himself on the bouncers – from the promenade above the club. Local police subsequently, fined the 31-year-old 150 pounds.
"A 31-year-old man received a fixed penalty notice for being drunk and disorderly after being seen urinating in public near the Shooshh Club in King's Road Arches, Brighton, around 4.13am on Monday," said a police spokesperson.
A release on the Sussex's website read: "Sussex County Cricket Club can confirm that an incident took place involving Monty in the early hours of Monday, 5th August. The matter is under full investigation and the club will make no further comment at this stage."
Panesar was named in the squad for the third Ashes Test, but did not feature in the final XI, and was later dropped for the fourth fixture, which will get underway in Durham on Friday.
