Pakistan have appointed former Zimbabwe batsman Grant Flower as their batting coach on a two-year contract, adding to the appointments of the head coach and bowling coach in the past week.

Flower was Zim's batting coach for three years, until 2013, and had applied for this specific post last year. This time he was successful, joining new coach Waqar Younis and bowling mentor Mushtaq Ahmed.

The trio were hired by a selection panel consisting of Moin Khan, Intikhab Alam and Haroon Rashid, with Moin the man who made way for Waqar after holding the post for two months. He'd filled in after Dav Whatmore was sacked.
