Shakib finds IPL the perfect preparation

Bangladesh all-rounder Shakib-al-Hasan has had a number of things on the brain since the World Cup, and has started to switch his focus from the Indian Premier League to the series against Pakistan.
Shakib played two matches for the Kolkata Knight Riders, taking two wickets, which he felt was excellent preparation for taking on Pakistan, and he's eager to do well when going back to the IPL again.
Shakib told Wisden India: "I knew that I could play only two matches. I have been thinking about the series against Pakistan. I think practicing and performing with KKR will help me a lot.
"It is something like practicing with Bangladesh team. Now I'm waiting to perform against Pakistan and will come back to play the last two matches here."
Shakib was also clear in his assertion that playing in T20 leagues like the Big Bash in Australia and Caribbean Premier League were vital to his, and any player's, development and tactical growth.
He added: "I think everyone will agree with this. I have come to know the strengths and weaknesses of international players through playing in these leagues.
"I have also come to know the team planning which I can share with my team mates back in the country."
