Shami likely to miss entire IPL season

Although the extent of the injury is not yet known, India fast bowler Mohammed Shami will most likely miss the entire 2015 Indian Premier League (IPL) because of an injured knee.
Shami has not played for his franchise, the Delhi Daredevils, in their opening three games with the team saying he was unavailable for selection because he was "consulting a specialist to chart a quick recovery process."
The 25 year-old Shami's absence will be a big loss to the Daredevils, who released 13 players after last season's poor showing where they ended rock bottom on the log with only two wins.
Shami was one of India's star performers at the recent World Cup as he took 17 wickets in the tournament as India went on to lose in semi-final to Australia.
It has not been confirmed if the Daredevils will seek a replacement for the right-arm paceman, but they would probably want to secure someone with the same sort of experience that Shami would've brought to the squad.
