Shehzad dropped from Pakistan T20 squad

Pakistan have named a few surprising picks in their World Twenty20 squad for next month, with veteran opener Ahmed Shehzad dropped, while uncapped Khurram Manzoor has been included.
Shehzad's exclusion is not a massive shock, given his top score of 16 in five limited-overs internationals this year, but Manzoor has not played a T20 for Pakistan. He has scored three tons in his past 10 matches in all formats though.
Also not making the cut is veteran paceman Umar Gul, as well as batsman Shoaib Maqsood and wicketkeeper Mohammad Rizwan. This left room for uncapped paceman Rumman Raees to get a call-up.
Raees has played 39 T20s, taking 44 wickets at an average of 23. So far this year he's taken nine wickets in seven games, for Islamabad Uni. and United Bank.
Pakistan's participation in the event is up in the air though, as the PCB said this week that their government may still block their trip to India, with politics again coming into play.
Squad: Shahid Afridi (capt), Mohammad Hafeez, Shoaib Malik, Umar Akmal, Sarfraz Ahmed, Babar Azam, Iftikhar Ahmed, Imad Wasim, Anwar Ali, Mohammad Irfan, Wahab Riaz, Mohammad Amir, Mohammad Nawaz, Khurram Manzoor, Rumman Raees
