Bowling coach Allan Donald has left South Africa's tour of the United Arab Emirates, against Pakistan, due to undisclosed personal reasons.

Donald has been granted an "extended leave of absence" and team manager Mohammad Moosajee, who is "not sure when he will return."

Former bowling coach Vincent Barnes, currently in change of South Africa's high performance programme, will act as a replacement.

Barnes, credited with the fruitful development of seamers Vernon Philander, Dale Steyn and Morne Morkle, worked with former coaches Mickey Arthur, Corrie van Zyl and Gary Kirsten – prior to new head coach Russell Domingo's appointment earlier this year.

Pakistan won the first by seven wickets inside four days at the Sheikh Zayed Stadium in Abu Dhabi earlier this week. The second and final Test will get underway at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium on Wednesday. Five ODIs and two T20Is will follow.
