The tour begins on 3 October and will be 35 days long, with the Sri Lankans following India and Pakistan to visit the African nation this year, boosting the Zimbabwe Cricket coffers and giving the players valuable game time.
The big squad named by the Sri Lankans will be cut to 15 closer to the time, but already is without wicketkeeper Prasanna Jayawardene and fast bowler Chanaka Welegedara.
This will be Angelo Mathews' first away series as permanent captain, while Dinesh Chandimal is set to keep wicket and skipper the T20 side.
