Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) has confirmed the appointment of two new members it the ODI team backroom staff in preparation for the World Cup.

Trevor Penney, formerly Sri Lanka's assistant coach, has been signed up as a fielding coach, while Jeremy Snape, a cricketer turned psychologist, has also joined.
According to the <i>Daily Mirror</i>, Snape will be working to ensure all of the players are in top form ahead of the World Cup.
"Jeremy will be able to enhance individual performance of the national team with the World Cup in mind," a SLC press release stated.
"This move is bound to add value to the system at this crucial stage and derive the maximum output of players to face any challenges in the upcoming tours and the World Cup 2015 in particular."
Penny, who previously worked as a fielding coach for New Zealand and India, will replace Ruwan Kalpage who left the Sri Lankan team to take a position with Bangladesh.
