Sri Lanka lost to the West Indies on home soil in the previous edition of the World T20, and takes on India in Dhaka on Sunday, the team who beat them in the final of the 2011 World Cup.
Sri Lanka are yet to win an ICC event since the 1996 World Cup under Arjuna Ranatunga.
