Eranga has bowling action cleared

Sri Lanka pacer Shaminda Eranga has had his bowling action cleared and can resume his cricketing duties.

The 31-year-old Eranga’s action was found to be illegal in June last year after it was reported following the second Test in England.

The righ-arm bowler has now had his action tested at the ICC accredited testing centre in Chennai and he has been cleared to resume bowling.

Eranga has played in 19 Tests, 19 ODIs and three T20Is for Sri Lanka and will hope to add to his international caps.
