T20I status for Netherlands, Nepal

The Netherlands and Nepal have been afforded Twenty20 International status by the International Cricket Council.

The Netherlands and Nepal have been afforded Twenty20 International status by the International Cricket Council at an annual conference in Melbourne.

The Dutch and Nepalese competed in this year's World T20 in Bangladesh. The former's campaign was highlighted by victory over England in Chittagong, while the latter upstaged Afghanistan in the same city.

Afghanistan, Hong Kong, Ireland, Scotland, Papua New Guinea and the United Arab Emirates have retained T20I recognition.

The ICC, too, acknowledged the USA Cricket Association – not the American Cricket Federation – as a recognised member.

Oman Cricket has confirmed as the 38th associate member, but Brunei has been suspended as an affiliate – and Tonga removed.
