Cricket South Africa and the Board of Control for Cricket in India have "in principle agreed" that December's series will included three ODIs and two Tests, according to reports.

The exact composition of the series in South Africa will be revealed when president Narayanaswami Srinivasan and secretary Sanjay Patel present the proposal to the BCCI's working commitee in Chennai on 26 October.

Srinivasan and Patel met with CSA president Chris Nenzani in London on Saturday in a bid to conclude a three-month impasse, which has stemmed from the BCCI's troubled relationship with CSA chief executive Haroon Lorgat.

The series has remained in jepoardy since 9 July, when the BCCI objected to the itinerary. Previously, it had expressed concerns over Lorgat's role with CSA. A meeting between Patel and Lorgat in Dubai last month didn't resolve the contention, but Nenzani's subsequent visit to India helped break the deadlock.
