Trott makes T20 Blast return

England batsman Jonathan Trott second return to topflight cricket this year brought a mere single in Warwickshire's big eight-wicket win over Northamptonshire in Thursday's T20 Blast fixture at Edgbaston in Birmingham.
Trott left the tour of Australia late last year due to a stress-related illness. A recurrence, too, stifled April's return. May's hiatus, however, has since taken a backseat to plenty of promise in the Bears' second and first XI.
The talented right-hander spent 10 minutes at the crease and faced seven deliveries on Thursday, getting off the mark before being caught by Kyle Coetzer off the bowling of seamer Mohammad Azharullah.
Trott's failure was not costly, as opener Varun Chopra's quickfire half-century had earlier laid the ground work for success with all of 24 deliveries to spare. Fast bowler Chris Wright was named Man of the Match on the back of telling figures of three for 37.
