Uncapped Gurkeerat called up for SA ODIs
India have named their limited squads for the upcoming visit by South Africa, with uncapped all-rounder Gurkeerat Singh the main change to the ODI team that faced Sri Lanka recently.
Gurkeerat, who did so well for India A against Bangladesh A last week, was named in the ODI squad for the first three matches, in place of Ravindra Jadeja, while Amit Mishra was called up to replace Dhawal Kulkarni.
As for the T20 squad, S Aravind was named as part of a strong side, with the young paceman joining the likes of Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Mohit Shrama. Varun Aaron did not feature in either squad.
Paceman Mohammed Shami was also not named, as he has not recovered from knee surgery, while Murali Vijay was absent as well due to a hamstring injury. MS Dhoni will skipper both sides.
