Batsman Mark Vermeulen, who has not played Test match cricket in more than a decade, has been named in Zimbabwe's squad for this week's one-off fixture against South Africa at the Harare Sports Club.
Vermeulen was acquitted of arson in 2009 after admitting to burning down Zimbabwe's academy three years earlier. He has since enjoyed a consistent stretch of form at first-class level, including a fine ton for the A side against Afghanistan in July.
The 15-man squad features the uncapped Cuthbert Musoko, John Nyumbu and Donald Tiripano. Trio Steve Chimhamhiwa, Luke Jongwe, Neville Madziva, Cuthbert Musoko, Taurai Muzarabani and John Nyumbu
