Former Indian batsman Vinod Kambli has suffered a heart attack – and has reportedly been admitted to Lilavati Hospital in Mumbai.
Former Indian batsman Vinod Kambli has suffered a heart attack – and has been admitted to Lilavati Hospital in Mumbai.
The 41-year-old endured chest pain while driving home from the suburb of Chembur – and was taken to the hospital by a police officer. He is currently in a stable condition.
Kambli played played 17 Test between January 1992 and November 1995, amassing 1084 runs at an impressive average of 54.20, including two double-centuries.
"Vinod Kambli suffers heart attack! He should be safe, let's pray! One of the most talented cricketers ever to have played the game," retweeted current Indian batsman Yuvraj Singh.
The talented right-hander also played 104 ODIs – and retired from first-class competition in 2011.
