Australian batsman Adam Voges' participation in next month's limited-overs series against India is in doubt.
Australian batsman Adam Voges' participation in next month's limited-overs series against India is in doubt.
Voges has been ruled out of the remainder of the Perth Scorchers' Champions League Twenty20 campaign due to a back injury.
"Voges has an ongoing lower back complaint, and has returned to Perth for further investigation and management," read a statement from the Perth franchise.
Skipper Michael Clarke's berth in the 14-man squad, meanwhile, remained in the balance on Monday. Clarke is also nursing a back injury.
All-rounder Steven Smith and the left-handed David Warner have emerged as likely replacements, if required.
The talented Callum Ferguson and the uncapped Nic Maddinson sport, too, are in contention.
The sole T20I will be played in Rajkot on 10 October, while Pune, Jaipur, Chandigarh, Ranchi, Cuttack, Nagpur and Bangalore will host ODIs one, two, three, four, five, six and seven respectively.
