Wahab: Amir’s pace takes pressure off me

Pakistan fast bowler Wahab Riaz is perfectly content to have Mohammad Amir in the team again, despite his match fixing conviction six years ago, as it takes the pressure off Wahab to be the leading attacker.
Wahab has become the face of Pakistan's fast bowling ever since his fiery spell at the World Cup last year against Australia, and he's relieved to have another very quick bowler in the ranks to help him out.
Wahab said ahead of the T20 series against New Zealand, which will be Amir's first international appearance since his five year ban ended last year: "Amir is a great introduction to the team.
"He's getting a chance. He's a great fast bowler – he's proved that in the past. It's time for him to prove here as well. And he will prove it.
"With him there's less pressure on me as a bowler, because I'm getting his support. Umar Gul is back and is doing really well. It's going to be a good combination for Pakistan.
"Amir is a good inswing bowler, bowling with the new ball," Wahab said. "He can bowl outswing as well. If you can take wickets with the new ball the pressure will always be on the batsmen.
"That's I'm saying that him coming into the team will help us more."
