Waqar confident ahead of England visit
Pakistan coach Waqar Younis says he and his team are confident of toppling England in the upcoming Test series that starts in the UAE next month.
The Three Lions will arrive in the subcontinent with their tails up after beating old foes Australia three-two in the recent Ashes series at home.
Waqar however feels his team are use to playing in the conditions, having beaten Australia and New Zealand last year.
Pakistan will first travel to Zimbabwe for a limited-overs series before the taking on England in three Tests, starting on 13 October in Abu Dhabi.
Speaking from Pakistan's training camp in Lahore, Waqar said: "More than the limited over series in Zimbabwe, we are totally focused on the Test matches against England.
"It is a very important series for us and I just want the team to repeat the form they showed against Australia and New Zealand last year.
"I am confident we can win this series against England if we play the way we did against Australia and New Zealand.
"Our players are used to the pitches in UAE and if we look at the number of centuries scored by Younus Khan, Misbah-ul Haq or Azhar Ali in Tests, I think we can do well."
