Watson agrees to play in Pakistan T20 league

Former Australia Test all-rounder Shane Watson has signed up to be part of the first Pakistan Super League in February next year, joining a host of other international stars, many of whom are retired.

Watson joins the likes of fellow Aussies Brad Haddin and Shaun Tait to sign up, while Kevin Pietersen, Luke Wright, Chris Gayle and Lasith Malinga have also been added to the pool of players to be auctioned in December.

Watson, who hopes to be part of Australia's World Twenty20 squad, said of the deal: "I am very excited to be involved in the inaugural PSL.

"There are a lot of world class players involved so I can't wait to be a part of it."

PCB chairman Najam Sethi was confident Watson would be snapped up by one of the five, yet un-named, sides: "He will definitely be a hot pick in the PSL draft."
