Willey wants to make an impression on first tour

Allrounder David Willey is looking forward to England's upcoming limited-overs series in the United Arab Emirates, against Pakistan, as it is his first tour with the national side.

Willey put his name in the hat for selection by taking four for 43 in 10 overs against Hong Kong in a tour match which the Three Lions won comfortably, by 163 runs, in Abu Dhabi.

With the Hong Kong game being England's only match-practice ahead of the first ODI on Wednesday, Willey was grateful to get the opportunity to showcase his talents.

Willey said: "I am just hoping to put in performances when I get my opportunities, work hard in practice and hopefully I get the nod at some stage. I would like to make myself a permanent fixture in the one-day side.

"It is great. It is my first England tour so it is great to be here and experience England on tour. I am just looking forward to getting involved now.

"I think for the guys who haven't played over here much, playing in these conditions in the heat, it is important we do get a run-out before."

England will play Pakistan in four ODIs and three T20s in the Asian country.
