Woakes ruled out of last two ODIs against Oz

England allrounder Chris Woakes has been ruled out of the last two ODIs against Australia after picking up a thigh injury in the third match of the series at Old Trafford on Tuesday.

Woakes, who played in the first three matches of the series against the Aussies, is expected to be fit for selection when the Three Lions tour the UAE to take on Pakistan in October.

An England statement on Twitter said: "Chris Woakes has been ruled out of the final two Royal London ODIs against Australia with a right thigh injury. He is expected to be available for selection for the Test series against Pakistan."

Mark Wood, Reece Topley and David Willey will come into contention to replace Woakes for the fourth ODI at Headingley on Friday.

Australia currently lead the five-match series two-one with two matches remaining.
