Woakes: We want a T20 series whitewash

Seamer Chris Woakes says England are focused on ending their tour of the UAE on a good note and want to complete a three-nil series win against Pakistan in the T20s.

The Three Lions already hold an unassailable two-nil lead in the T20 series to go, on Monday in Sharjah, and won the ODI four-match ODI series three-one.

Woakes said: "Everyone is delighted with the way the white-ball stuff has gone since we got here. We have put in some really good performances, firstly with the one-dayers and then we have backed it up with the Twenty20 win.

"Confidence is high, everyone is enjoying each others company and it is nice to be in a winning environmentIt is credit to everyone, everyone has put in some hard work and we have adapted to conditions really well.

"To beat Pakistan out here is a tough ask. Make a statement and win three-nil would be an unbelievable effort. Everyone is focused on getting that result on Monday.

"We know Pakistan are going to come out hard and not just going to give it away. We have got a tough task on our hands, but we will definitely give it a shot and we are hoping to come away with a series whitewash."
