Yuvraj proud to be part of Tendulkar's legacy

The veteran Sachin Tendulkar's impending retirement ultimately upstaged the successful recall of batsman Yuvraj Singh, after India beat Australia by six wickets in a one-off Twenty20 International at the Saurashtra Cricket Association Stadium in Rajkot.
Shortly before the fixture, Tendulkar announced his 200th Test match – most likely against the West Indies in November – will be his last. Yuvraj, later, struck a belligerent 77 not out to set a solid precedent ahead of this month's ODI series against the same opposition.
The Aussies had posted a formidable total of 201 for seven on the back of opener Aaron Finch's whirlwind 89 and a complementary 34 from debutant Nic Maddinson. Yuvraj's 35-ball blitz and fitting cameos from opener Shikhar Dhawan and skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni, however, capped triumph with two deliveries to spare.
"He never showed that he is the great Tendulkar. He was always trying to be chirpy with the youngsters, although we were a bit reluctant to go up to him. Personally, he's always guided me on and off the field about the things in my life, especially the World Cup journey, so it's been very special. It's tough for me to see him go," enthused Man of the Match Yuvraj.
"It has been amazing to play with him for so many years. He is one of the greatest players to have played the game and I don't know what to say, there are so many things to say about Sachin. Probably the best Indian cricketer to have ever played, I would say. He was an ambassador of cricket around the world. It's going to be an emotional time for the whole of India."
Singh was named Man of the Match for a vigil that included all of eight fours and a quintet of handsome sixes. The first of seven ODIs will get underway at the Subrata Roy Sahara Stadium in Pune on Sunday.
