Zimbabwe injury crisis deepens

Just when it seemed like the injury and ilness crisis hitting Zimbabwe had finally let off, Hamilton Masakadza has been ruled out of the second Test against New Zealand with a back injury.

Tino Mawoyo may win his race to be fit for the second encounter with the Blackcaps but Zimbabwe will be without their most experienced batsman after Masakadza picked up a back niggle.

The Zimababwe batting order is likely to be reshuffled with Peter Moor looking likely to come in and Craig Ervine, Sikandar Raza and Prince Masvaure moving up one position in the pecking order.

Masakadza has not missed a match since Zimbabwe returned to the Test arena in 2011 and has proved to be the best Zimbabwean batsman during that time.
