Read on to find out more about Australia’s highest individual scores in ODIs.
10. David Warner – 166 vs Bangladesh
Warner holds the record for Australia’s 10th highest individual score in ODI cricket. This was during the 2019 Cricket World Cup, when Warner took full advantage at Trent Bridge in Nottingham.
9. Adam Gilchrist – 172 vs Zimbabwe
Gilchrist holds the record for Australia’s ninth highest individual score in ODI cricket. Gilchrist faced just 126 deliveries, but struck only three sixes during an innings of calculated hitting personified in Hobart in 2004.
8. David Warner – 173 vs South Africa
Warner also holds the record for Australia’s eighth highest individual score in ODI cricket. Warner did not hit a single six during this knock at Newlands in Cape Town in 2016. His ton couldn’t prevent the Aussies from slipping to a five-nil series whitewash against South Africa.
7. Mark Waugh – 173 vs West Indies
Waugh holds the record for Australia’s seventh highest individual score in ODI cricket. He was outstanding against a West Indies seam attack spearheaded by Nixon McLean and Cameron Cuffy in Melbourne in 2001.
