Daredevils completely overpower Mumbai

The Delhi Daredevils snapped a nine-match losing streak at home when they completely outplayed the Mumbai Indians to win by 37 runs in the IPL on Thursday.
After being sent in to bat by visiting captain Rohit Sharma the Daredevils lost opening batsman Mayank Agarwal in the first over with only one run on the board, New Zealander Mitchell McClenaghan got the breakthrough.
However that is where the joy ended for the team from Mumbai as 20 year-old Shreyas Iyer and captain JP Duminy put on 154 in 16 overs. Iyer, who showed immense promise, was the aggressor slamming seven fours and five sixes in his 83 off just 56 balls.
After Iyer was out, bowled by Lasith Malinga in the 17th over, Duminy took up the mantle to find the boundary on a more regular basis. The left-hander hit three fours and six sixes as he ended unbeaten on 78.
Angelo Mathews made a quickfire 17 from eight balls but Yuvraj Singh did not contribute much as Delhi made an imposing 190 for four in their 20 overs.
In the chase the Mumbai Indians' top-order batsman all got themselves in but one of them could kick on and score the big score that was needed, as the opposition showed them.
The top six batsman it into double figures but could not see their side home. They eventually folded tamely to 153 for nine after 20 overs. Imran Tahir took three wickets in one over to end with figures of three for 22 from his four overs.
