The second day's play of the first Test between Bangladesh and West Indies in Chittagong was abandoned after overnight and early morning rain.

With overcast weather giving a damp outfield little chance to dry, the umpires opted to call it off after an inspection at 11.15am local time.

Rain had been forecast for the opening two days of the Test but the opening day was unscathed as Bangladesh advanced to 255 for four.

They will resume on that score, with skipper Mushfiqur Rahim and Naeem Islam at the crease, when play starts half an hour early on Sunday – at 9am local time.
