Rahane stars as Rajasthan beat Daredevils

Batsman Ajinkya Rahane was once again the star man for the Rajasthan Royals as they beat the Delhi Daredevils by 14 runs in the Indian Premier League on Saturday.
India international Rahane batted right through the innings to finish on 91 not out off 54 balls as Rajasthan posted an imposing 189 for two after Delhi captain JP Duminy won the toss and elected to field.
Already the tournament's leading run-scorer, Rahane struck nine fours and three sixes as the slightly built batsman showed you do not have be all muscle to succeed in the shortest format of the game.
Rahane was well supported by 23 year-old Karun Nair who scored 61 from 38 balls as the pair put on 113 for the second wicket after the loss of Shane Watson in the seventh over.
Nair was out in the in the penultimate over of the innings going for a big shot as Rahane, who went past the 400-run mark for the tournament, and James Faulkner (8*) ended the innings.
Delhi needed a quick-start in their pursuit of the target but lost wickets at regular intervals and they never really got into a position to chase the score.
Only skipper Duminy (56 from 39 balls) showed any kind of fight for the Daredevils as they limped to 175 for seven in their 20 overs.
Faulkner, Stuart Binny and Dhawal Kulkarni took two wickets each in a disciplined Royals bowling performance.
