Rain gives Tigers certain first SA draw

Day four of the first Test between Bangladesh and South Africa was rained off without a ball bowled, soon after the schedule lunch break, meaning the Tigers reached day five of a Test against the Proteas for the first time.
Out of the eight Tests the sides have completed, not one reached the last day, but thanks to the rain, that's one streak broken. Also at risk is the draw stat, with SA having won all eight of those other games.
The day ended as day three had done, with the Proteas on 61 for none and trailing the hosts by 17 runs. The visitors didn't even leave their hotel as rain continued overnight into the late morning.
Day five is set for similar conditions, and considering the pre-match forecasts, the fact that the monsoon season even allowed the bulk of three days is a win in itself. Fans will be disappointed though, as the Tigers were putting on a good show.
