Rain washes out entire day in Bangalore

The second day of the second Test between South Africa and India in Bangalore has been abandoned without a ball being bowled due to persistent rain.
India will hope the match goes ahead on day three as they are in a strong position on 80 for no wicket after bowling the Proteas out for just 214 on the first day.
Spin twins Ravichandran Ashwin and Ravindra Jadeja did the damage for the hosts with four wickets apiece while seamer Varun Aaron picked up one scalp.
The Proteas would have been massively disappointed with their batting effort as they look to fight back in the four-match series after losing the first game in Mohali.
Only AB de Villiers, playing in his 100th Test, looked in good touch at the crease, compiling 85 from 105 balls including 11 fours and one six.
The visitors batsmen cannot seem to get to grips with the turning tracks in the sub-continent but will have to find a mechanism to score runs if they want to have a say in series.
