The tri-series match between the West Indies and Sri Lanka was moved to the reserve day in Trinidad after rain stopped play in the 20th over, with the Sri Lankans struggling on 60 for three.

Jason Holder had removed Upul Tharanga for seven, while Kemar Roach bagged Mahela Jayawardene and Dinesh Chandimal for single figures. When the rain arrived, Kumar Sangakkara and Lahiru Thirimanne had put on 31 together.

Play will start where it left off, on Monday.

The West Indies won the toss and chose to bowl first, having made a number of changes for various reasons as they sought a definitive spot in the final.

A win for the hosts in Port of Spain will give them a place in the finale, while a defeat will open the contest and the match on Tuesday will decide the final places.

The Windies were without Dwayne Bravo, who is suspended after an over rate infraction, so Kieron Pollard led the side. Sunil Narine was out injured, while Denesh Ramdin was dropped. Devon Smith, Holder and Lendl Simmons came in.

Sri Lanka made two changed, bringing Shaminda Eranga and Jeevan Mendis in for Kusal Perera and Rangana Herath.
