Shahzad’s ton ensures T20 clean sweep

Afghanistan wicketkeeper Mohammad Shahzad struck a scintillating century to guide his team to an easy 81-run victory over Zimbabwe in the second T20 in Sharjah on Sunday and therefore secure a series clean-sweep for the Asian side.
Shahzad, who also hit a ton in the five-match ODI series, batted all the overs to score an unbeaten 118 from 67 balls, which included 10 fours and seven sixes.
The 27 year-old's belligerent knock was the cornerstone to Afghanistan scoring a massive 215 for six in their allotted overs.
Most of Zimbabwe's bowlers could not stand the onslaught from Shahzad and had rather expensive figures but left-armer Tendai Chisoro can hold his head high bowling four overs while conceding only 25 runs.
The African side's batsmen then did not show any of the fight that was needed as they were bowled out for a paltry 134 in the 19th over.
Only opening batsman Hamilton Masakadza applied himself at the crease, scoring 63 from 44 balls, before he was out in the 16 over.
It has been a really poor tour to the UAE by Zimbabwe as they went down three-two in the ODIs and now could not get off the mark in the shortest format.
