The Delhi Daredevils slumped to their fourth successive defeat of the 2013 Indian Premier League, while the Sunrisers Hyderabad romped to the top of the table on the back of Friday's three-wicket win at the Feroz Shah Kotla.
The Sunrisers joined Royal Challengers Bangalore on six points at the summit as they successfully chased down a target of 115 in a low-scoring contest at Feroz Shah Kotla.
Parthiv Patel made a run-a-ball 19 at the top of the order and skipper Kumar Sangakkara top-scored with 28 to keep Hyderabad on course.
However it was left to the tail to finish the job off; Ashish Reddy and Amit Mishra both contributed 16 before Dale Steyn hit the winning runs with just four balls to spare.
The South African had earlier played his part with the ball, picking up 2-11 from four supremely tight overs to help restrict the Daredevils to 114-8.
He dismissed David Warner in the opening over of the match before the Australian batsman had managed to get off the mark, then returned near the end to clean up Shahbaz Nadeem for a golden duck.
Ishant Sharma and Thishara Perera also claimed two wickets as the Sunrisers' seamers kept Delhi in check for the most part.
Kedar Jadhav did his best to up the scoring rate with an unbeaten 30 that included a four and two sixes, combining with Irfan Pathan (23) to help the Daredevils rally from 65-5.
