Afghanistan tour to the West Indies

West Indies survived a batting collapse to prevail by two wickets against Afghanistan in St Lucia to level the three-match ODI series at one-all with a game still remaining.

Marlon Samuels scored an unbeaten 89 to help the West Indies beat Afghanistan by seven wickets in the third and final T20I in St Kitts which sealed a series whitewash for the hosts.

West Indies beat Afghanistan by 29 runs (D/L method) in the second T20 International in St Kitts to wrap up the three-match series with a game to spare.

Afghanistan started their tour of the West Indies with a six wicket loss in the first T20I ending an 11-match winning streak.

The West Indies host Afghanistan in a T20I series that will get underway at Warner Park in Basseterre on St Kitts on June 2 and will comprise three matches at the same venue.

The West Indies have named a 13-man squad for the upcoming T20I series against Afghanistan including uncapped fast bowler Ronsford Beaton.
