England have called Surrey quick Tom Curran into the Ashes squad after Steven Finn withdrew due to a knee injury. Curran is uncapped in Test cricket.
Finn was ruled out of the tour after scans revealed a cartilage tear in his left knee.
The Middlesex fast bowler was only in the squad due to the suspension of Ben Stokes.
Curran made his international bow against South Africa earlier this year in a T20I at Taunton, taking three wickets on debut.
The 22-year-old played his first ODI later in the English summer against the West Indies at the Rose Bowl in Southampton.
The young quick has taken 171 first class wickets at an average of 29.14 and shown glimpses of promise with the bat.
Curran will fly out to Australia on Wednesday November 8.
The first Test gets underway on November 23 in Brisbane.
